How to Setup Straight Talk Wireless Data and MMS for your iPhone running iOS 6

Method 2 – Configuring  Both StraightTalk  Data and MMS for iOS 6

If you want to use MMS picture messaging, you must manually enter in the Data and MMS APN info in your iPhone’s settings.  The problem is when you have the Straight Talk AT&T SIM in your iPhone, the Cellular Data Network settings are hidden. You can work around this problem, using a hack called the SIM Swap Method. To do the SIM swap, you need a T-Mobile network SIM. You put the T-Mobile SIM in your iPhone. The  Cellular Data Network settings will then be visible. You put the Straight Talk AT&T SIM back in and quickly enter the Cellular Network Data settings before the option disappears. The TMobile SIM does not need to be active. You need a micro SIM for the iPhone 4 models and a nano SIM for the iPhone 5. If you bought the StraightTalk SIM kit with three SIM cards., one the Pink SIM is for the T-Mobile network.  Yes, you need to have a SIM. If you don’t have one, check your old prepaid phones. You can buy one from T-Mobile or on eBay.

If you don’t use MMS picture messaging, you don’t need to do this step. If all your friends use iPhones, your picture messaging may work over your data connection using iMessage.
