    I’m a bring your own phone customer with net10. I have a att Samsung galaxy s4 mini. My data works and regular messaging but it won’t let me send a multimedia message. How do I fix it?

    I have an AT&T Fusion 3. I am using a net10 sim card in it. I have updated the APN but I am still not able to receive picture messages. I have not tried to send any so not sure about that. Is there anything else I can try.

      Hi Tisha,
      Try setting your APN type to default,mms,wap. See if that helps. Test both sending and receiving. Sometimes it takes a few days to receive mms after transferring your phone number. I don’t know why that is.

    I have a net10 zte midnight phone and I can not send or receive picture messages and it keeps saying that I have low storage space but I have nothing on my phone. No download s or games. Please help.

      Try looking in your phone settings for storage. How much total space do you have and how much is available?
      It could be that you are using a lot of space for photos or have a large amount of text and picture messages saved on the phone

    Hi. I recently switched my Net10 phone to a Samsung Galaxy S4 CDMA model from Verizon. I used a net10 4G CDMA sim card and an activation code. My MMS messages will not work. I don’t see a APN setting. Net10 says it’s not their service because I can send a picture to myself and receive it. Any help would be appreciated.

      Hi Jayne,
      It’s not possible to set the APN on phones that use the Verizon network. That is supposed to happen when you activate the phone. You said your MMS doesn’t work. Does that mean you can neither send or receive MMS to others. Or is only sending or only receiving the issue.

      BTW are you getting 4G LTE with this phone and the SIM? just curious…

        I have a Galaxy S3 from Verizon, I switched it to Net10, new SIM card etc.. everything worked fine- now all of a sudden the data and mms will not work. I have checked all settings etc.. any insight on this one?

    I just got a new BLU 4.0 phone and it won’t let me get on the internet or my Google play store without WiFi and I do have minutes! I don’t know a lot about phones but I’m sure that as long as u have minutes you can use your data! Why isn’t it working can you help?

      Hi Amanda,
      The H+ stands for HSPA+ which is a 4G connection, but not 4G LTE. I am not sure if the Note 4 you have is compatible with 4G LTE on the network you are using. What is the model number of your phone? Are you using Net10? And, are you using Net10’s ATT or Net10’s TMobile network?

    My LG Optimist (lgms769) Stop sending mms and using mobile data when anything google is concerned!So that means no internet and no play store! I bought my phone from the NET10 web site but its a MetroPCS phone. It also came with its own sim card. I have had the phone for years its just stop doing anything google related and sending mms a few days ago. Im being sent a new SIM card but i dont think that will help as i thought sims was just for information?? Please Help!

        im using net10. i bought the phone off of net10,com and was sent a metropcs phone and a net10 sim. now mobile data wont work with anything google related. on an android phone that like 90% of the phone :(

          That sounds weird. You bought a phone from Net10 and they shipped you metropcs branded phone? Do you have a link to what you bought? Did you set up the APN on this phone for Net10? What type of phone is it.

            it was a few years ago. i bought a new sim today and it fixed the mobile data problem. so google works now but no sending pictures! Net10 reset my apn settings still nothing…..

    My blue dash 5.0 plus I just got its stuck in roaming I cannot send or receive picture messages called net10 no help down at bottom of phone says no service but my WiFi has to stay on or my phone don’t work at all I don’t understand I have unlimited texts n everything and I can’t even use my service cuz the sims in it r setup wrong or something I need someone’s help to use my phone very upset that I can’t use my phone I’m not on a contract could someone please help set my phone up correctly ….

      That isn’t much information to try and help you. If you can let me know what phone you have and service you are using I might be able to make some suggestions.

    My Family wanted new art phones so we choose the BLU 4.0 Advance. Seemed to have everything we needed. But as we activated our new phones they they set us up with AT&T. We can send only word messaging, no video, or photo messaging! No matter what the tell us to do, switch this change that, reboot, all that jazz, they can’t’ seem to figure it out! Is it only the BLU brand phones or maybe only the Generic (unlocked) phones? We never had such issues before! On top of it my wife and 2 daughters received a text message saying their data plan was being updating and would be able to send and receive photos in messaging. They click on it and it said enter your pin number???! WTF!! Pin number was never st or sent!! Talked to them today went in circles, 4 G not working only 3G and still no singing or receiving photos!!! Grrr!!! Help!! Is it pur phones that are no good or just communication data problems?

      If you are using your BLU advance phone with Net10 or Straight Talk, try following the instructions on this page. Help Setting up Metro PCS Data and MMS on the BLU Dash Running Android 4.2

      Make sure to use the link in the help page to look up your APN settings on the Straight Talk or Net10 web site. You can use the following link for Net10

      Give it a try on one of the phones. Sounds like you have 4 phones? wow.

      I haven’t seen this PIN number before. The PIN number might be 0000, the last 4 digits of your SIM card number, or phone number. If you want you can send me a screen shot of this so I can take a look at it.
      Taking a Screenshot on an Android Phone. You can email them to bob at the name of this web site.

      Finally, I looked up the specs of your phones. They do not support 4G LTE. It looks as if they support HSPA+, which is often referred to as 4G. With HSPA+, your BLU phone might show an H or H+ in the status bar. I don’t have one of these phones, but most phones that use Android display the H not a 4G.

    Need settings for LG L40G running Android 4.0.3 on Net10. I have been unable to send/receive picture messages for about a week and a half, previously to that i had no problem. i downloaded an app to update net10 apn settings, and now it will only send pictures, but not receive them. Wondering if you have something different for me to try that will fix the situation.

        Hi Bob, I tried looking up APN settings, and receive this notification:
        The Phone Number or the last 15 digits of the SIM card you entered does not belong to our GSM Bring Your Own Phone Program. Please note there is no need to update your APN Data settings if you have a Sprint or CDMA phone.

        My current settings (from the net10 data settings app i downloaded) are:
        apn: wap.tracfone
        port: 80
        mms proxy:
        mms port: 80

        these settings allow me to access the internet/data, send MMS, but not receive MMS. I have tried all the other suggested settings and am still unable to receive MMS. This is the only setting that allows me to send them. I’ve had the same phone/sim card and have been on net10 for quite some time, this all started just about 2 weeks ago for some reason unknown to me. previous to this happening, the settings i had originally on my phone were:

        APN: tfdata
        MMS Proxy:

        For whatever reason, this decided to stop working. The tfdata apn does not allow me to access data now. Not sure why this change occurred.

          Di you buy this phone from Net10?
          Try removing both the proxy and mms proxies
          if that doesn’t work
          try mms proxy with the wap.tracfone apn

          I have the same problem with the same phone. It quit receiving/sending pics or voice messages about 2 weeks ago. I have been using the same phone also with no problems. I also cannot get on browser, etc..

      I think this phone uses tStraight Talk’s Verizon compatible network, or tStraight Talk’s Sprint compatible network. Did you need to dial an activation sequence as part of setting up the phone?

    Hey I’m having an issue with my Galaxy Note 3. It’s from At&t and it is NOT unlocked. My Data and my MMS do not work at all with my Net10 service. What apn settings do I need exactly for net10 without confusing myself with straight talk settings ?

      Hi Charrod,
      Net10 Wireless and Straight Talk Wireless use the same APN setup information. Net10 Wireless, Straight Talk Wireless, and Tracfone are all owned by the same company. Try following my Nexus 5 guide. Start with the APN setup information from Net10. See the guide to get the link for the APN setup information for your phone number. If that doesn’t work try some of the alternative MMS Proxy and MMSC values listed in the guide.
      How to Set up Net10 Wireless Data and MMS on Your Nexus 5 Running Android 4.4.

      The guide is for Android 4.4 (KitKat), so your screens and the steps may be a little different. Let me know how it goes.
