Net10 Wireless Is Now Offering 4G LTE Service!

net10lte

Just like  Straight  Talk,  Net10 added support for 4G LTE on their AT&T compatible network. I was very excited to read this. This means that if you are using the iPhone 5 or another LTE enabled smartphone you can get the fastest wireless service available today. Currently if you are using and iPhone 5 with Net10 you’ll see the your status bar show HOME and a 4G. This is 4G HSDPA, and its fast, but not LTE fast. You’ll need to update your SIM to an LTE compatible one, and Straight Talk is currently selling them on their web site for $6.99 plus tax and shipping. I ordered some.  As soon as I get them, I’ll try it out and write an article or create a new guide.

I recently upgraded by purchasing 2 iphone 5s’s from Apple. I also purchased 2 at&t 4G LTE sim cards from net10. My phone’s work but they do not get 4G LTE. I called Net10 today and they updated my apn settings this morning. Later in the day I went to the nearest city with my buddy and where he gets 4G LTE service through at&t. I only get 4G on the TFW network. Net10 told me that TFW is the at&t network for net10 customers. If that is true then I have a phone issue on 2 iphones which does not make sense. I do not know what else to try at this point. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

      Hi Bobby,
You can rule out a problem with your phone by trying his SIM in your phone. See if it gets LTE. I assume you made sure you have LTE enabled. I’d also try a hard set on my home. Press and hold the home and lock buttons until the phone reboots. Also try a reset network settings. Your bought two ATT iphone 5s? or two verizon models? (There is a some discussion about ATT LTE working on the verizon 5s).

I set up a couple phones with Net10 / ST LTE, usually took about 15 or 20 minutes for the phones to reliably get LTE. I’d also try an iTunes restore on one of the phones. I did have one other reader with a problem getting LTE on an iPhone 5.
Let me know how it goes.

I purchased 2 iphone 5s’s and 2 at&t 4G LTE sim cards from net10. For some reason I can not get LTE. I only get TFW 4G and can not find a fix to get LTE. I contacted Net10 and they had me download APN settings. They told me that TFW is at&t. I asked, can I use the data coverage maps from at&t to confirm testing LTE on my phone. I used these maps to decide what sim to buy and now it seems like that is BS on their part. I had my buddy that has a at&t contract sit beside me and he had 4G LTE service. I continue to have 4G on the TFW net10/tracfone network. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Bobby

If I buy a iphone 5s from the i store question. The only option to buy the 5s is buying a t-mobile iphone 5s. If I purchase this phone and buy new A&t 4G LTE Sim from Net10 will it work. T-mobile has poor coverage in my area. I just want to buy a iphone 5s with (Net10)At&t 4G LTE. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don’t want to spend that kind of cash for the phone and hate it. Please Help

      Hi Bobby,
If you buy a T-Mobile iPhone 5s from an Apple store that is the unlocked / T-Mobile version of the iPhone 5s. You use a Net10 or Straight Talk AT&T 4G LTE sim and it will work fine. It should also work with a full price AT&T iPhone 5s. If you buy it from the Apple store and have a problem, you can return it. If you buy the phone from a T-Mobile store or other retailer, there may be an issue. T-Mobile claims their full price phones are locked to the T-Mobile network for 60 days. T-Mobile or another retail may also have different return policies.

I would do it. I need to buy a 5s for my wife, she wants a gold one. Hard to find. Check out apple-tracker.com if you want to find an Apple store with the phone model you are looking for.
