Using FaceTime Without A Cellular Data Connection

A reader, Jasmine asks…

Hi I was wondering if I bought a straight talk iphone if I will be able to use face time without paying that month?

Hello Jasmine,
You can use FaceTime with any iPhone that has an Internet connection. To connect to the Internet, you’ll need to have either a cellular data connection or a WiFi connection. If you want to use cellular data you’ll need to pay Straight Talk or another wireless company a monthly fee. You can also use FaceTime with a WiFi internet connection at home, work, or a public location that offers free WiFi like StarBucks or your public library. To use Wifi, you’ll need to be in close range to the location of it’s signal, and if your not near a signal you have access to you won’t be able to use FaceTime. When you have the option to use WiFi, you should. When you use FaceTime with cellular data you’ll either pay for that data or it will be counted against your monthly quota of data you have already paid for.

I hope this helps, if you have any more more questions leave aa reply below.
