      You may need to fix you APN settings but the setting are specific for your wireless company? What wireless company are you using?

    Using Straight Talk’s Verizon service on a Samsung Galaxy Core Prime. I see no option for APN SETTINGS when I go to Settings>More Networks>Mobile Networks. It only lists these options: Mobile Data, Data Roaming, & Network Mode.

      You don’t. the apn should set up automatically. if it is not working, ST may be able to send the settings to your phone or fix the problem. Sometimes the problem is not the APN by some issue on ST’s side.

    Hi, I bought an unlocked Android Japanese phone recently (Freetel Samurai Miyabi) and it only connects to the EDGE network (I’m using AT&T). I did research and the internet says my phone isn’t compatible with any carriers here in the US, when it comes to connecting to 3G, 4G, LTE. Though, my phone connected to 3G on my way driving to my job, but it’ll go back to ‘E’ as soon as I leave that area. I upgraded from an AT&T iPhone 4S, which connects to 4G perfectly fine everywhere, so its not because I have a bad signal. I put the correct APN settings into my new phone and the perferred network type is set to 4G, but no luck into getting 4G.

    Do you think if I give my carrier my new phone’s IMEI (to update their systems) that it’ll start working? Or is there anything else I can do to get it working?

      The issue is the phone, not the APN. The carrier can’t fix this for you either. The problem is likely that the 3G radios in the phone don’t support as many radio frequencies as the iPhone. Or, the radios in that phone are not as sensitive as the iPhone.

      That’s the problem with international phones, lot of people have the same issue with Chinese phones. What did you pay for this phone and why did you choose this model? Just curious

      Yourr phone should set the APN automatically. Does data or MMS work?

        Hey bob, any idea why after update on blu studio x plus, my network options are grayed out. If i can maullaully make a apn with the att. Mvno settings will that work or should I call h20? Ty

          Steve,
          If you can manually create an APN, give it a try. I’m not sure what is grayed out for you. It may be that the phone has detected your SIM and set the APN automatically. Which is great, except when it sets the wrong APN.. which does happen sometimes with prepaid MVNOs.

    I have a Moto G (2 Generation) 4.4.4 Android I am on straight talk bring your own phone program. I got the activation kit from straight talk. They sent a dual sim card standard or micro for use with AT&T compatible or unlocked GMS devices.I can’t update my VPN Setting, why can’t I connect with my network,I even set my preferred type network from 3G to 2G.       Hi Peggy,
      You should be able to update the APN on this phone. Do you mean you can’t add a new APN? Are you use you have the GSM Moto G?

    I have a blu vivo xl I can’t receive or send mms messages. I will getry the mms message and it will tell me to download the message. But everytI me it will say transmission failure will try later. Sending it just fails n has the red exclamation point. I’ve tried different apnea settings but noting is working. It has android lollipop

    You seem very helpful with the apn settings. I have a Galaxy mega 6.3 unlocked at&t phone that i’m currently using net10 service. I think I have set everything up i’m just not able to send or receive picture messages.

    I entered in APN TYPE: default,mms,supl is that correct. Please help

    I’ve just bought the Blue Life One XL & the data works fine, I can send/receive text messages, get on the internet, receive picture messages, but I can’t send picture messages. No clue why. I’ve read some reviews where people said they downloaded an app to do it with but I prefer to just be able to do it normally. I’m on the Walmart Family Mobile network (powered by t-mobile) and was wondering if you’re familiar with it & can help?

    I have the at&t Samsung Galaxy go phone but I’m using it on straight talk they gave me some setting but not all of them its a nano sim card and all they told me to do was put in RESELLER FOR APN and 80 for port but nothing else. Please help they are sending another sim tomorrow because I swapped my phone out and they put my number on a straight talk phone so now my old sim is invalid.

      I’d try doing reset to defaults on the APN page and then reentering the APN settings. Let me know.

    I have a BLU Studio 6.0 HD phone and using it on Straight Talk, but the internet was really slow. So I called and they had me set up three to four different APN’s. I called BLU and asked them about it, they said to restart my whole phone completely then call Straight Talk to set up a new APN for the internet. Since they set up the new APN, my internet has gone away completely and I cannot figure any of it out. And now Straight Talk can’t even find out the problem. I have been on the phone with them the past 3-4 days and it still isn’t working. I do not know what to do. Please help.

      If you are switching to straight talk’s Verizon network, the phone should set the apn automatically. If you ate switching to straight talk’s Att or tmobile network you need to set it yourself.

    Hi, I had to get another sim card for my Samsung galaxy 3 note. I had it activated about 5 months ago through straight talk. all worked perfectly.. all though my son put in the settings. so here once again i had to get another sim cause i deactivated it as I had to have the charging port replaced. so now i put in the info from straight talk and I still cant use the internet without wifi my signal strength is almost nothing and before i had awesome signal strength. I see where it says apn type default with all the names beside it all mine had is internet +mms or internet or mms.. i checked the first one. so i dont know if i have all the correct settings can you help.?

          If you recently signed up for Straight Talk and transferred your phone number it may take a few days before you can receive MMS picture messages. I had the same issue. I set up three Straight Talk accounts. MMS worked fine for the two with new phone numbers. I could not receive MMS for the third, the one I transferred a number to. I tried the SIM in two different phone and it did not work. After a few days I decided to see if I could try to fix it, only to find it working.

      Hi Sheri,
      For the most part you should be able to move your SIM from your Straight Talk phone to the BLU. I assume your data is working its just MMS that is the problem. can you share some screenshots of want APN settings you entered into your phone?

      Also, for a quick test. I recommend installing Google Hangouts and setting it to the default messaging app. Retest your MMS and see if it works.

    I recently bought a blue studio c 5.0 running lollipop, and am using it with net10. I changed the APN settings how customer service at net10 told me to, but I still can not send or receive picture texts. My data works fine, just no picture texting. Anyone know how to fix this?

    I have an unlocked Blu Studio HD 6.0 that I bought for Straight Talk. I got my SIM card activated (AT&T SIM) today however I have only been able to use talk and text. No data works. I cannot access the Internet or receive picture messages. The only way to access the Internet on this phone at the moment is via Wireless, which works perfectly.

    I have spent the last 5 hours trying to get this phone to work and am at my wits end. I have tried 100s of different APN settings found all over the web. I have updated my phone completely. It is now running on Android 5.0.2

    I have no idea what else to try. If you’ve seen this before and have any insight please let me know.

      Hi Lindsey,
      Look up your APN here. Looking up Your Straight Talk Wireless APN Settings. Is your APN tfdata, att.mvno, or wap.tracfone?

      When you look at phone’s status bar when you try to use cell data (with Wi-Fi) off, do you see a 4G, LTE, 3G, E, or no indicator.
      Do you know if the ATT network works well in your area.

      Hey Lindsay did u get that problem solved? I swapped my 6.0HD for a Studio C with Android 5.0…EVERYTHING works except multimedia messaging, regular texts are fine…Ive gone through dizens of APN settings to no avail….ready to cry….

    bought the Galaxy mega android 4.2.2. from rental store have not been able to access the internet they don’t know anymore than I do getting ready to give it back the screen freezes up also this wasn’t such a good deal anyway need help accessing the internet did all the cache things resets and etc help
