If is NOT displayed there is a problem with your APN.

  1. Repeat the steps above and edit your APN. Verify you entered the APN correctly and save
  2. If you have more than one APN in APNs list, try removing them.
  3. Repeat the steps to test your data and Internet connection.

  1. Repeat the steps above to return to the APNs list.
  2. From APNs, Tap Menu

  11. Priscilla | |

Hi Bob, I have tried all the combinations but maybe I’m not syncing them properly.. It’s all the ones that are on the straight talk site for this phone.. I can’t remember all of them.. I’ll take another look but I have been trying to fix this for a week now.. I bought the phone only 2 months ago.. I wish there were a just one combo and not so many, it’s difficult..

  12. Priscilla | |

I have tried all the combinations and none of them seem to work.. I don’t know what more to do..

  13. Priscilla | |

Yes I did have mms pic msgs before and it just stopped and I can’t send or receive pics.. I believe I updated my phone because it asked so I just hit yes, maybe that could be the cause..

  14. sharon | |

Hello, i can receive mms messages but cannot send them. The check is given after sending them but the number never receives the mms picture messages. I have sent pictures to 5 different phone numbers and they are never received. Everything else works fine. I am on the verge of just sending the phone back.

    • Bob Thompson | |

      Hi Sharon,
The issue probably isn’t the phone.
Are you using Straight Talk’s AT&T network-compatible SIM or Straight’s Talk T-Mobile network-compatible SIM? Visit the Straight Talk website to look up your APN settings. Use your phone number and your phone type select  Android 4.0 & 4.1. What does the site return for your APN settings?

  16. Mark | |

I need some help with my BLU Life Play and the APN settings. I just got straight talk and can’t download MMS photos. I can send MMS photos without difficulty.
I have tried all 3 APN settings above and none have worked. Straight Talk customer service was no help.
My phone as the the Android 4.2 jelly bean.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    • Bob Thompson | |

      Hi Mark,

If you recently signed up for Straight Talk and transferred your phone number it may take a few days before you can receive MMS picture messages. I had the same issue. I set up three Straight Talk accounts. MMS worked fine for the two with new phone numbers. I could not receive MMS for the third, the one I transferred a number to. I tried the SIM in two different phone and it did not work. After a few days I decided to see if I could try to fix it, only to find it working.

This is a common problem. You can also try setting your APN type to default, mms, wap or default, mms, supl. Some readers have had luck by trying different MMSC and MMS proxy values. Read both the following articles and the comments to see what has worked for others.

Help with Straight Talk and Net10 MMS Picture Messages and I Can’t Receive MMS Picture Messages Using Straight Talk or Net10 on My iPhone Using iOS 7.0.4
Let me know how it goes.

      • Mark | |

Thank you Bob. I will wait a few days and see what happens. Thanks.

        • Mark | |

It has been a few days and still no MMS messages.

          • Mark | |

It took about 5 calls to Straight Talk customer service. The MMS problem has been resolved. The APN setting given by Straight Talk and listed on this website worked AFTER Straight Talk did something on their end. Had to clear APN settings and go to default. Turn phone off, reenter APN numbers and restart phone.

    • Priscilla | |

Hi Mark, it sounds like the exact problem I have except I can’t send nor receive.. I have the same phone as u Blu jelly bean 4.2

      • Bob Thompson | |

Which APN settings are you using?

  17. William Zahran | |

    I can’t connect my phone data ???

    • Bob Thompson | |

      Hi William,
Did you try each of the three APNs? Which SIM are you using? Straight Talk’s AT&T network-compatible SIM orStraight;s Talk T-Mobile network-compatible SIM.

  18. Lauren | |

    Hi Bob,
I have a Blu Life One and I cannot send or receive MMS messages. I have gone over the APN settings with the techs at Straight talk and they cannot help me. Do you think that you can? My APN settings are:
    MMS Port:80

    Thank you so much.

      • Lauren | |

I tried to see if it would work using the steps in your guide, but it still did not work. I made sure that the slashes were going in the correct direction, like you previously stated, but still nothing.

Again thanks for all the help.

    • Priscilla | |

I have the same problem except i did have it but now i don’t.. so aggravated 🙁 don’t know what to do, iv’e tried everything, all kinds of apn’s but none work..

      • Bob Thompson | |

        Hi Priscilla,
What is the problem you are having? You can’t send or receive MMS picture messages? Are you saying it did work and then it stopped.

  19. davidmartinezmontalvo | |

I tried all three they didn’t work

    • Bob Thompson | |

      what didn’t work? data?
what do you see in the status bar when you try to load a web page?
      how many bar? Do you see a E, 2G, 3G or H?

  20. Gabe | |

    Running 4.2.

Only APN that got data working was your wap.tracfone one (second option posted), but MMS still isn’t working. Any ideas? I can’t get picture messages.

    • Bob Thompson | |

      Hi Gabe,
This is a common problem. Start by trying this.
A reader suggested that with BLU phones you have to set the APN type as default, mms, wap for the ATT SIM and mms, and supl for the T-Mobile SIM.

Let me know if it worked for you.

      • Gabe | |

No luck. Using t-mobile sim — did the “default, mms, supl” for APN type. Need to have “default” checked because otherwise it switches automatically to another APN that came with the phone (that I can’t discard/delete). Any other ideas?

I have an unlocked blu life play with a straight talk sim card. I don’t send many pic messages but my texting and calling work just fine, it just doesn’t let me use any of my apps without wifi. how can I fix this?
