Test MMS Picture Messages
Once you have entered and saved your MMS settings, you can test MMS picture messages. Test both sending and receiving picture messages, as sometimes Net10 Wireless customers tell me they have problems either sending or receiving MMS. Make sure your
picture messages are sent and received using MMS and not some other service.
- Tap Home
- Tap Hangouts
- Tap Add
- Enter a Name or Phone Number
NOTE: I edited these screenshots to remove my phone number.
- Tap Camera
- Chose Attach Photo
- Select a Photo
- Add a descriptive text message.
Look carefully at the screen and check that your message will be sent as an MMS.
- Tap Send
- Wait for a Response
Make sure the picture you sent was received and that you can view the picture you received back.
If You Can’t Send or Receive a Picture Message
If you are unable to send the MMS. Go back to the APN settings and make sure you entered the values correctly. If you made an error, correct it, and retest. If you entered the values correctly, but MMS did not work, repeat the steps trying the alternative values that match your APN.
If you try all the values, but your MMS still does not work, leave a comment on this guide and I will try to help you.
Test Group Text Messages
If you use Group Text Messages, you should test them now. Test both sending and receiving group texts, as sometimes Net10 Wireless customers tell me they have problems either sending or receiving MMS. Make sure your group texts are sent and received using MMS and not some other service.
If you made it to the end of this guide, I hope you were able to get both your Net10 Wireless data and MMS working with your Google LG Nexus 5. If you have problem, leave a comment on this page and I will try to help.
