Choose your Settings

My Straight Talk APN is att.mnvo. I used the first group. Try the ones that match your Data APN from the APN profile and the APN from the settings from the Straight Talk web site.

Enter Your Cellular Data Settings

Enter your values. The screen shots show the values that worked for me.  Make sure all your values are correct before you exit  Cellular Data. My iPhone kept changing my CELLULAR DATA – APN, MMS – APN, and MMS Proxy values back to the ATT values while I was editing on this screen.

  1. Enter CELLULAR DATA – APN
    075-settings-cdn-enter-apn
  2. Enter MMS – APN
    076-settings-cdn-enter-mmsapn
  3. Enter MMS – MMSC
    077-settings-cdn-enter-mmsc
  4. Enter MMS – Proxy
    078-settings-cdn-enter-mmsproxy
  5. Enter MMS Max Message Size
    100-settings-cdn-enter-maxsize
  6. Enter MMS UA Prof URL
This is optional, try it without it and if MMS does not work, add it.

  7. Tap Cellular

Bought iPhone4 off my uncle that was previously activated through at&t, I want to switch the phone carrier to straight talk. I called straight talk and they sent me a new sim for the phone. I’m ready to activate but am causious as my uncle purchased an activation kit from Walmart, set phone up only to realize the internet/data didn’t work. Calling and messaging worked but not imsg. I want the phone strictly for the Internet so I don’t want to buy a 45$ card if I can’t recieve data? What am I doing wrong? Is there something in settings i could check for that i possibly have turned off HELP!

      Hi Jacob,
Assuming you are using the straight talk att sim your data should work. If you update your phone to the latest version of iOS 7, data should work automatically. Obviously, I can’t speak to what problem your uncle may have had and when you sign up for straight talk, there is always some risk that you might not be able to get it to work. They don’t like to give refunds either, so you’ll spend time arguing them trying to get one.

Take a look at to Setup Straight Talk Wireless Data and MMS for your iPhone running iOS 7
