Today, I decided to check out and learn more about Tello’s plans and features. . Tello offers a plan with unlimited talk, text, and 1 GB of data for $10.
Tello uses Sprint’s 4G LTE network, so if Sprint has reliable coverage where you work, live, or use your phone most, then Tello might be an excellent choice for you.
Tello offers a choice, you can Build Your Own Plan or choose one of their ready-made plans.
First off, let me tell you up front all of Tello’s plans include a fixed amount of high speed 4G LTE data. After you use that fixed high speed data, you’ll still have data but it will be at significantly reduced 2G speeds. While Tello offers very affordable prices, they do not offer a plan with unlimited high speed data.
Tello offers four ready-made plans ranging in price from $10 to $39. All the plans include unlimited talk and text. The plans differ in the amount of r 4G LTE high-speed data included.
The Enconomy plan includes 1 GB of data for $10 per month. The Value plan includes 2GB of data for $14 per month. the Smart Plan includes 4GB of data for $19 per month, and finally the data plan includes 12 GB of data for $39 per moth. All monthly plans are 30 days long.
Tello’s unlimited calling includes calling to Mexico, Canada, and China.
While Tello does not charge any activation or cancellation fees, you will pay sales tax and government fees.
With Tello, you can use Mobile Hotspot. With Mobile Hotspot, you can share your phone’s cellular internet connection with your laptop, tablet or other devices using their Wi-Fi connection. You’ll be able to use up to all of your plans fixed data with hotspot. For many of my readers, hotspot is a “must-have” feature.
Tello also includes the option to Build You Own Plan. You can choose the amount of data you want from no data, or a fixed amount of data. The data choices are 500MB, 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB or 16GB gf 4G LTE high speed data. You can also choose the amount of minutes you need ranging between no minutes, 100 minutes, 300 minutes, 500 minutes or unlimited minutes. Any choice of minutes. Build Your Own plans start at $5.
You can buy a phone directly from Tello or Bring Your Own Phone. Tello offers a selection of new and republished phones. When I checked the had a selection of value priced and previous generation iPhone and Smashing Galaxy phones. I though some of their phones were more expensive than if you were to buy the phone else where.
You can also Bring Your Own Phone. You need a phone that is Sprint compatible and you’ll need to check your phones serial number (MEID) with Tello to make sure it is eligible. You can use a phone you already have or buy a new phone from Apple, Best Buy or other retailer.
One of the things I really like about Tello is that their website is clean and describes their service clearly. Their Frequently Asked Questions section is filled with information.
