YouTuber Julio asks…
Will my iPhone 6s plus from Total Wireless will work with Verizon Wireless Prepaid?
To find out if your iPhone 6s or any other iPhone will work with, is compatible, or is eligible for use with Verizon Wireless or Verizon prepaid visit Verizon.com. You’ll need to check your phone’s serial number, known as the IMEI (or MEID) on Verizon.com to know. You can check it here. If Verizon says your phone is compatible, you can sign up and even transfer your number.
If Verizon says your Total Wireless iPhone 6s isn’t compatible, continue reading. There are a few reasons Verizon might say your phone is not compatible. First, if your iPhone is locked it will not be compatible. Total Wireless will unlock your iPhone for free if you meet the terms and conditions of their unlocking policy. Check here to find out if your Total Wireless iPhone can be unlocked. Total Wireless should unlock your iPhone if you have used it with their service for 12 months or more.
In your case, your Total Wireless iPhone 6s is compatible with the Verizon network. Total Wireless even uses the Verizon towers for its service. Some iPhone models from AT&T, T-Mobile, or other prepaid carriers may only be compatible with the AT&T or T-Mobile network so they may not be eligible.
You’ll notice that Verizon or other carriers that use the Verizon network, may say your phone is not compatible. This is a little confusing sometime. All phones that Total Wireless offers are compatible with the Verizon network. If Verizon says that your phone isn’t compatible, that might be the case or it could just be that they have decided the phone isn’t eligible. They don’t disclose what factors they use to decide if you can activate a phone on their network.
I hope this helps and good luck.
