Today I’m going to check out the Verizon Wiress Prepaid Plans & Features for July 2021. Before getting started, I want to point out that this is not a full review, I’m just going to take a look at what Verizon prepaid currently has to offer.
I last reviewed Verizon Prepaid back in March 2020. If you are interested in that review, see https://smartphonematters.com/verizon-wireless-prepaid-review-march-2020/ To learn more or sign up see Verizon Wireless Prepaid
Company
Verizon Prepaid is owned by Verizon, the largest wireless company is the US. What makes Verizon so popular is their coverage. Even in 2021, I still here from many readers and YouTube viewers that Verizon had the best coverage or the only network with coverage where they use their phones.
Verizon Prepaid also as a reputation as being reliable compared to other prepaid wireless service. In fact I was a Verizon prepaid customer for a year or so, and only left for a plan that suits my modest needs.
Network or Towers
As Verizon Prepaid is owned by Verizon it should come as no surpise that Verizon Prepaid uses Verizon’s own 4G LTE and now 5G network.

With Verizon Prepaid you have the choice to either buy a phone directly from Verizon Prepaid or Bring Your Own Phone as long as it’s compatible.
If you want to buy your phone from Verizon, the offer a choice of the latest Apple iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, and other Andoid models.

Verizon Prepaid now offers a loyalty program. A Loyalty program rewards customers for using the service for a period of time. The longer you remain an active subscriber, the less you pay.
After four months you’ll get a $5 per month discount After 10 months you’ll qualify for A $10 per month discount
Conclusion
in 2021, Verizon prepaid is very competative. There are less expensive prepaid wireless services, but they may not offer the same level of reliabilty.
As a former Verizon prepaid wireles customer, I’d recommend the service. I left for two reasons. First, my needs are modest, I switched to a less expensive plan, that included less data. Second, I try to switch up every so often.
Verizon’s loyalty model is interesting. It rewards customers that stick around for 10 months or more with better pricing. In a world of introductory pricing, this a refreshing change. The model favors customers that are able to stay with the same carrier and plan for longer periods of time.
